Bird Watching & Nature Reserves:
Ballyteige Burrow, a sandy beach area adjoining the village of Kilmore Quay, (Irish National Grid Reference S9603:) Home to Meadow Pipits, Skylarks, Wrens and Stonechats mainly inhabit this area. The burrow is approx 9km in length and is known also for its sand dunes - a wonderful place to walk.
Saltee Islands (the Great Saltee and the Little Saltee) off Kilmore Quay are thought to be one of the biggest bird sanstuaries in the world.
Tacumshane Lake, Broadway, Co Wexford, is one of Ireland's best bird watching sites. The lake is protected under the wildlife act 1976.
Wexford Wildfowl Reserve provides a welcome retreat for its wintering flock of 10,000 Greenland Whitefronted Geese and wintering flocks of geese, swans and wigeon.
