Kilmore Quay: To the east of Cullenstown Beach is the pretty traditional fishing village of Kilmore Quay with its beautiful thatched cottages and a municipal marina allowing easy access to the Saltee Islands. The Saltee islands are of international botanical and ornithological importance and are accessible daily by boat from Kilmore Quay - awared Blue Flag Status. Kilmore Quay has pubs & restaurants providing food throughout the day, the local 'Chipper' is a must visit if in the area; the fish is cooked fresh from the day's catch and is just delicious and servings are more than generous too. There is a lovely children's play ground overlooking the sea where adults can sit, enjoy the sun and good food from the 'takeway' while children can play and have fun.
