Duncannon beach – (20 minute drive) is suitable for families and has access onto the beach for cars. Many festival and events take place throughout the year in Duncannon. The annual international Sand Sculpting Festival takes place during the August Bank Holiday weekend and provides lots of entertainment for all age groups with beach parties, fireworks and face painting. Water sports such as boarding, sailing, sea-canoeing, dingy sailing, snorkelling and other outdoor activities are very popular in this region. The Strand Tavern and Roches Pub on the beachside serve the best of food during day/evening.
